'Tis the season

Yep, it's getting to be that time of the year!

Cold weather seems to be settling in and it puts me in the Christmas mood. I LOVE giving gifts, but of course, in a frugal manner. These two mixes are always a hit - put in a bag, tied with a ribbon and put in a mug (Dollar stores have them for cheap - look for them after christmas for next year for maximum savings!!).

Cappuccino Mix:
2 1/2 cups dry milk
1 cup powdered non-dairy creamer
1 cup powdered drink mix
2/3 cup instant coffee
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg

Mix and store in airtight container. To serve: mix 3 T. with 6 oz hot water.

This can be varied by varying the spices and/or using flavored creamer.

Hot Cocoa Mix:

1 3/4 cups dry milk
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 powdered non-dairy creamer
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Mix and store in airtight container. To serve: mix 3 T with 3/4 cup hot milk.
