These can be healthy and delicious and are so simple to make!
We freeze ANY fruit that is getting to the end of it's life (and buy frozen fruit if we are running low) - the only thing we don't seem to care for in smoothies is citrus - and that's only because the skin (the pulp on the inside, not the outside!) doesn't blend nicely.
Remember: buy fresh fruit in season - if you're not using it up, dice up, lay out in single layer on cookie sheet, freeze, bag and label.
These are our personal favorites:
berries...any and all!!
mellon - again, any and all
one single serving container of yogurt
about 1/2 cup frozen fruit
about 1/4-1/2 cup juice
We have a Bullet blender which is great to make smoothies and shakes in individually - but any blender will work.
Because you add the fruit in while its frozen - no need for ice cubes!!
