Making the Most of Small Spaces

When we first moved into our current home we checked every nook and cranny to see what we may want to do, how to decorate - but most of all, how to make the most of our space. Even though we doubled - yes, doubled! - our space, we knew that spaces get filled quickly and we like to make our home work for us.

At the top of stairs going into the upper bedrooms was a space about three feet wide by a foot and a half deep - perfect, we agreed, for built-in book shelves!! (After a coat of white paint - I have no "before" pictures, but let me tell you - the paneling behind was an UGLY cream and black striped number - YUCK!)
