Need an alternative to plain old rice krispie bars? Check these out!
I love making these because they are really versatile - you can make them many different ways!
3 T. butter
1-1lb pkg of marshmallows
1/2 cup peanut butter
7 C. rice krispies
1 pkg chocolate chips
2 T. oil
Line a jelly roll pan with plastic wrap. Cook butter and marshmallows in microwave until puffy. Take out and mix together. Add peanut butter, mix. Add cereal, mix. Pat into jelly roll pan. Mix chocolate chips and oil - melt together and spread on cereal mixture. Let rest 10 minutes, roll up like jelly roll. Chill until hard before slicing.
Substitutes: try any variation of fruity, cocoa or plain krispies with vanilla, butterscotch or chocolate chips!!
